Okay… so we know To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before has only been out for less than two weeks, but already, the Netflix adaptation of Jenny Han’s book has become a global phenomenon! People have quickly become obsessed with the lead actors Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, and of course, we’re ALL in love with the swoony-worthy character that is Peter Kavinsky.

Between the loveable characters and the amazing representation of the Asian-American community, we can TOTALLY understand why fans are desperate for Netflix to make a sequel, and TBH, it seems like there’s a good chance that it’ll happen!

If you’ve read Jenny Han’s book, you know that To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is only the first book in a trilogy, so there’s definitely more to the story. At this point, we’re all just waiting for Netflix to green light the sequel, but some fans have taken matters into their own hands by starting a petition!

That’s right, fam! One adoring fan of the series started a petition that says, QUOTE, “If you want more Lara Jean— and definitely MORE Peter Kavinsky — please sign my petition calling on Netflix to hurry up and make more sequels to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.”

So far, several thousands of people have signed the petition; so clearly, the fan that started it isn’t the only one who’s desperate for more Peter and Lara Jean! However, while everyone wants Lana and Noah to reprise their roles in the sequel, many fans want Israel Broussard, the actor who plays Josh, to be recast if the sequels get greenlit.

The fans who created the petition wrote, QUOTE, “Please recast actor Israel Broussard, who played Lara Jean’s boy-next-door crush, Josh. Recently, Broussard’s racist, homophobic, and offensive past tweets have been widely shared online — and this type of hate has NO PLACE in the wonderful To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before universe.”

Well, what do you guys think about fans petitioning for a sequel? And, while you’re at it, let us know if you think Israel Broussard should be recast for any potential sequels. Thanks for watching!
