Freedive in Deeptank – Blowing Air Rings (360 VR Video)

Written by

VR Gorilla has partnered with The Watermen Project and 360 Videos to produce a VR documentary which focuses on Komodo National Park, Indonesia, and some of it’s iconic inhabitants: the Komodo Dragon and the Reef Manta amongst others. The film will show the beauty and wonder of the national park, both onland and underwater but we will also show how this unique ecosystem is under pressure, mainly due to plastic pollution.

We are working hard to release the film by the end of this year. In the meantime we will share 360 clips, photo’s and anecdotes from this production to give you a glimpse of what’s to come.

This particular clip shows Lukas Waterman and Erik Lange during a freedive training session at Monte Mare deep tank in Rheinbach, which was the first time we tested our underwater VR rig. We were pretty impressed with the rings of air Erik manages to blow underwater :D!

More to come soon!

VR Gorilla is an Amsterdam based virtual reality production studio. We aim to create the most immersive, enthralling experiences imaginable. We want to give you new experiences and take you places you have never been. We want to tell stories like you’ve never seen and heard them before. We want to share with you our dreams.

We make 360° video productions that are perfected to be experienced in high end VR headsets (like Gear VR and Oculus) as well as Cardboard and YouTube/Facebook 360. Our background as filmmakers give us the advantage of knowing how to tell a story and really captivate your audience. Obviously te rules are different in VR but still there is much that we gain from having this experience.
